Meet the Teacher

¡Hola! My name is Amberly Ellison and I am so excited to be starting another year at Rosary! I was born and raised in Oklahoma City and am a proud graduate of both Rosary School and Bishop McGuinness. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with degrees in Elementary Education and Spanish. During my college years, I completed study abroad programs in Mexico, Spain, and Chile, allowing me to further develop my understanding of the Spanish language. I spent an exciting ten years teaching in the Dallas Independent School District, during which time I earned my Masters in Education Administration, before returning home to teach at Rosary. My husband, Jeff, and I have three children, all of whom attend Rosary and love it. We also have three furry family members – our two dogs, Boomer and Checkers, and our cat, Suey. I enjoy spending time with my family playing games & sports and doing outdoor activities (the highlight of our summer is our annual family reunion camping trip at Lake Eufaula!). In my free time, I enjoy photography, crafts, and reading. Fall Saturdays finds us cheering on the Sooners. Boomer Sooner!

A fun fact – I am the oldest of six kids, and by the time we all graduated Rosary, my parents had continuously had children enrolled at Rosary for 31 consecutive years!

Another fun fact: We are huge Harry Potter fans, and when my son was a baby, I dressed him as Harry Potter for a book release party, complete with a scar on his forehead.
