Safe Environment

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church & Rosary Catholic School

“The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City through its programs, organizations and events, has numerous daily contacts with many children and young people.  It is, therefore important that all Archdiocesan Personnel, clergy, seminarians, religious, employees and volunteers, protect the rights of children and be alert to the possibility for child abuse.”

Dear Friends and Families of Rosary,

In order to maintain a safe and productive learning environment at all times, parent, volunteers, or other visitors must check in and out at the school office.  Do not go directly to the classrooms or cafeteria.  You must also check in and out your Safe Environment Card.

Safe Environment Cards are created by the Safe Environment Facilitator for each individual upon completion of all Archdiocesan Safe Environment requirements and are maintained at the school office.

The Safe Environment Card must be visible at all times while inside the school, on campus or during off-campus events (field trips).

Please note that at sporting events the designated coaches are the only adults to be with the players during practices and games.  For example: baseball- only the assigned coaches are to be on the field or in the dugouts with the players; soccer- only the assigned coaches are to be in the team area of the field.

If you elect to opt-out of Safe Environment Training you will not be allowed regular contact with the students of the school.  Please contact me for further information about how you will be able to meet your Time and Talent Program requirements for school families.

Students of Rosary School participate is “A Circle of Grace” curriculum each year as a part of the Archdiocesan safe environment program.

God bless you,

Kim Young
